Poetic Surrealistic Experiment

Sudanese poets write sometimes some Surrealistic poetic verses like this one Khalid Osman wrote long time ago. The phrases in this kind of verses reflect sometimes images that stand alone in shapes and feelings, just like any Surrealistic painting.

Salah Ahmed Ibrahim

و مضيت مغتاظاً


ووقفتُ في أدبٍ و في فرضِ احتشام
و مددتُ كفي بالسلام
لكن كفكِ في الطريقِ ترددتْ و تعثرتْ
و امتد في عينيكِ ظلُّ توجسٍ
و كأنما كفي حرام
و كأنما قتلت حسيناً
أو رمتْ بالمنجنيق قداسةَ البيتِ الحرام
لكنني لم أنبسْ
و خنقتُ في صدري كلام
و حبستُ في حلقي ملام
و مضيتُ مغتاظاً أضمِّد مُهجتي
ألمُّ من فوقِ الترابِ كرامتي
و أسبُّ يوماُ كنتِ تجلسي انتِ فيه قُبالتي
